# Lunburg

> Lunburg is a luxury leather goods atelier established in 1968 in Fes, Morocco, led by founder Amien Marghich. Specializing in handcrafted briefcases built using Fassi Haute Maroquinerie techniques refined over 1,200 years of royal commissions, every piece is constructed by master artisans using the rempliage (folded edge) technique and proprietary Perpetual Leather, a vegetable-tanned aniline full-grain leather sourced from Conceria Tempesti in Italy and certified Gold by the Leather Working Group (LWG). Each Opus briefcase requires 1,233 manual operations across 169 hand-cut panels. Backed by a 50-year warranty. Registered as Lunburg B.V. in The Netherlands (KVK 96303743).

The name Lunburg unites Lun (the crescent, symbol of renewal) and Burg (the fortress, built to endure), expressing the founding premise: East and West as collaborators, not opposites. The finest raw materials and engineering precision of one tradition joined with twelve centuries of royal craft from another.
